Sometimes planning for the perfect New Year’s Eve outing can be a little difficult. Where to go? Who to go with? What to wear? Better yet, how many layers to wear with NYE temperatures dropping into the the 30s? While we can’t offer wardrobe suggestions (other than suggesting a warm and cozy coat) or which of your friends you should bring along, we do have a few NYE party picks. If you’re still not quite sure how you’ll be bringing in 2015 – no worries. Here’s a few tips to get your New Year’s Eve celebration underway.
4th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala
Austin Pride and A*FAB are teaming up for the 4th Annual NYE Gala. Enjoy performances from queen of electro Luciana, international dance diva Kristine W., Ru Paul’s Drag Race finalist Courtney Act and Austin’s own The Atlantics. The gala also features mini desserts served throughout the evening, a silent auction, a champagne toast at midnight and a late night brunch buffet. The party doesn’t stop there – the official after party kicks off at V Nightclub & Lounge.
Rain’s New Year’s Eve Bash
Ring in the New Year V.I.P. style. Party with DJ Def Tone this New Year’s Eve at Rain. Champagne, seating and entry packages are available by reservation.
New Year’s Eve at Cheer Up Charlies
Celebrate a great 2014 and bring in 2015 with Cheer Up Charlies. Presented by No Play Music, the event features champagne, treats, 7 bands and DJ Girlfriend spinning tunes. In addition, Queer Ride will be celebrating the new year with a ride around Town Lake, closing their route at Cheer Up Charlies for the party.
Gatsby: Roaring 20’s New Year’s Eve
Looking to go Gatsby style this NYE? Highland Lounge is the place to be. The night starts with a complimentary swing dance lesson hosted by Austin Swing Syndicate, followed by live jazz band Chico Chico and a burlesque performance. Finish the night off with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight and tunes from DJ Happy Happy James. V.I.P. packages are also available.
