On Saturday, February 6, 2016, Project Transitions hosts the 19th Annual Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner culinary fundraiser to benefit people living with HIV/AIDS. More than 200 Austinites will gather all over town to enjoy fine wine and dining in private homes, followed by champagne and dessert reception at NEST Modern.
Dinners start at 7 p.m., followed by the reception at NEST Modern from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. Guests have the opportunity to pick from several themed-dinners hosted in private homes throughout the city. Sample themes this year include, The Cheese Board, Shish Kebab Fabulousness, Mediterranean Magic, and many more.
“Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is one of our most delicious and unique fundraisers,” said Craig Thibodeau, Executive Director of Project Transitions. “Our guests have the opportunity to mingle with new and old friends across the city, while being a major supporter of our programs that serve many men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.”
Due to the generosity of the dinner hosts and event underwriters, HEB Grocery Company and Susan B. Hammer, 100% of the money raised from Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner flows directly to the programs of Project Transitions.
Project Transitions is a non-profit organization that provides housing, hospice and support services for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS in Central Texas. Programs include Doug’s House, a five-bedroom residential hospice and recuperative care facility; Roosevelt Gardens, Highland Terrace, and Community Housing, supportive transitional housing programs; and Top Drawer Thrift, a re-sale shop at 4902 Burnet Rd.
Seating at Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is $125.00 per guest and is limited. Guests are encouraged to make reservations as soon as possible to ensure their preferred choices.
