CAMIBAart proudly presents a four-person exhibition entitled “Flow”.   Created using a range of materials and techniques, the art works in this exhibition evoke the image of flow.  Defined as “to move along in a stream”, to flow can also be considered to: glide, drift, trickle, seep, swirl, sweep, swarm, cascade, pour, roll, move, drip, drizzle, spill, creep, blow, billow.  Some of the works in this exhibition induce a sense of flowing liquids or vapors while others appear to represent geological flows such as landmasses or clouds, some seem to be the movements of otherworldly galactic clusters or even the rush and flow of emotions.A native of Dallas, Paul Booker is interested in, and often derives his work from, the study of fluid dynamics, jet streams, and insect swarm intelligence.  He explores these ideas with layers of oil, ink and polyurethane, creating paintings that suggest liquid or air movement.  Paul Booker received his BFA from the University of Texas at Austin and his MFA from the University of North Texas, Denton.

Andrea Pramuk is currently living and working in Austin, Texas.  Her art is drawn from the physicality of the process resulting in ephemeral imagery that has a certain weightlessness and fragility to it.  Andrea Pramuk received her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Born in Mola di Bari, Italy, Nicola Parente now lives and works in Houston, Texas.  With inspiration drawn from memories of Adriatic Sea in Southern Italy, he creates works that absorb and engage the viewer with undulating lines and unexpected mixing of colors.  Nicola Parente received his BA from King’s College Pennsylvania and his Masters from University of St. Thomas, Houston.

Misha Penton is a painter, sound artist, contemporary classical singer, and writer currently based in Houston, Texas.  She works with the poetics of movement, intuition, improvisation and play, creating expressionistic landscapes where elemental energies of wild places converge.  Misha Penton received a BA from Skidmore College and a MFA from Goddard College.
