Art Alliance Austin is proud to announce Art Night WEST taking place on Friday, May 8 from 7 to 11 p.m. at various Austin galleries including Wally Workman Gallery, Preacher Gallery and Davis Gallery & Framing and Den Property Group. As the official preview and kick off to the WEST Austin Studio Tour, Art Night WEST is a multi-venue cultural experience where participants visit four art spaces, meet gallery directors and artists, and learn about central and west Austin art. Tickets buyers have the option of selecting which venue they begin and end the night, and every group will have a dedicated bus taking them to all four venues. Each site will be paired with fine tastings by local restaurants, drinks and sounds. Art Alliance is pleased to offer Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktails, a selection of fine wines courtesy of The Winebow Group as a part of a nearly decade-long sponsorship by Republic National Distribution Company, and local craft beer by Austin Beerworks. Tickets will be $75 per person. For more information on the event and to purchase advance tickets, please visit  http://www.artallianceaustin.org/events/art-night-west-2015.

“Art Night Austin has been a part of this city’s event calendar for over a decade,” said Asa Hursh, Executive Director of Art Alliance Austin. “But we’re excited to move the date of Art Night to coincide with Big Medium’s WEST Austin Studio Tour, because their efforts and programming deserve a highlight. And our goal, as an organization, is to connect Austinites to the most interesting spaces and encourage collectors and art lovers to join us for a highly curated – and fun – evening. This year, we want to increase our participant’s education and engagement in the art. We want everyone to walk away from Art Night WEST having learned about those who contribute greatly to Austin’s art scene, and get to mingle and meet with them as well.”
