Hyatt Regency Austin, located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin, has announced its Thanksgiving brunch for local residents and hotel guests.  The brunch will take place on November 23 (Thanksgiving Day) in the hotel’s Zilker Ballroom, and will offer expansive menu options.

The Thanksgiving brunch will feature a variety of options for guests including: soups and salads such as roasted butternut squash bisque, green chili chowder with smoked turkey, and a root vegetable salad; Texas-cured meats and cheeses including Serrano ham, CKC Farms goat cheese, and Granburry Gold gouda; seafood ranging from king crab and hand-shucked oysters to freshly-prepared sushi rolls and nigiri; breakfast and pastry options including omelets, pancakes, quiches, and croissants; and a carving station featuring herb-crusted prime rib and turkey breast, and maple-glazed cedar plank salmon.  The brunch will also showcase traditional Thanksgiving dishes including candied sweet potato casserole, chorizo cornbread stuffing, roasted mashed potatoes, and a variety of delectable desserts such as hot chocolate cupcakes, caramel apple bundt cake, pumpkin mousse, and much more.

Live music will be provided throughout all seating times, and the event will also feature a “kid’s corner” with several children’s activities and games.

It’s that time of the season and The Driskill cordially invites you to join us for our annual Thanksgiving Day Mezzanine Brunch Buffet.

A Driskill tradition, the brunch features delicious breakfast options like banana bread French toast; classic soups and salads, like Helen Corbitt’s Cheese Soup; seafood dishes, like snow crab claws and lemon poached jumbo shrimp; a Chef’s Butcher’s Block with slow roasted turkey and garlic crusted prime rib; pumpkin ravioli; family favorites, like stuffing and garlic whipped potatoes; and seasonal house-made pastry selections from Executive Pastry Chef Tony Sansalone.

The Driskill’s Thanksgiving Day Mezzanine Brunch Buffet will be served from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 23, 2017. The cost is $85 for adults, $40 for children ages 6 – 12, and free for children under 5 years old. The brunch includes a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, one of Texas’ leading resorts located right outside Austin, will host its annual Thanksgiving Feast.

The Thanksgiving Feast will include seafood options ranging from gulf coast oysters and steamed mussels, to a seared-to-order crab cake station.  It will also provide a gourmet salad bar and antipasti options including marinated olives, homemade mozzarella, and grilled seasonal vegetables, and more. A carving station will also be available featuring butter-basted turkey with cranberry chutney and turkey gravy; pecan-smoked prime rib with rosemary au jus; pork steamship with Madeira cream sauce; and cedar plank salmon with basil pesto cream sauces.  Traditional holiday dishes will range from jalapeno cornbread stuffing and sweet potato casserole to macaroni and cheese topped with brown butter bread crumbs.

The resort’s culinary team will also prepare more than 40 individual dessert options including a cheesecake bar with varieties ranging from white chocolate and red velvet to dulce de leche and crème brulee; old-fashioned fudge including chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, maple pecan, and grasshopper flavors; and a “pumpkinpalooza” station which will feature everything from pumpkin pie and pumpkin coffee cake with maple glaze, to pumpkin whoopie pies, pumpkin bread pudding with brandy caramel, and much more.

The Thanksgiving Feast at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 23.  It is $68 for adults, $34 for children between the ages of six and 12-years old, and complimentary for children five-years old and younger, and a 24 percent gratuity will be added to all parties.  Reservations are required and can be made by calling (512) 308-4950.

Girlstart’s STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium is a unique space for families to explore astronomy! Starry Nights are held the 1st Thursday of every month (except January, June, July and August), with each month featuring a new astronomy experience and related hands-on activities. All ages are welcome to stop by any time between 5:30pm and 7:00pm. RSVP is recommended, however not required, to attend.
