Impact Hub Austin announces Affordable Housing Accelerator’s inaugural cohort

Impact Hub Austin is proud to announce its Affordable Housing Accelerator “inaugural cohort.” The Affordable Housing Accelerator is a 3-month program focusing on policy, innovation and financing to keep Austin diversely weird and affordably engineered. The Accelerator will unite civic, tech and real estate industry curriculum and mentorship to fast-track a cohort of teams that will innovate solutions to this pressing social issue.

This is Impact Hub’s inaugural social impact accelerator, and they are hosting a happy hour-style mixer to give the public the opportunity to meet the first cohort, mingle with mentors and engage with the broader community of stakeholders that are invested in addressing Austin’s affordability crisis. Light bites and beverages will be provided. The event will take place this Thursday, Oct. 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Impact Hub’s Monroe Street location at 411 W Monroe St, Austin, TX 78704. Girlstart’s STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium is a unique space for families to explore astronomy! Starry Nights are held the 1st Thursday of every month (except January, June, July and August), with each month featuring a new astronomy experience and related hands-on activities. All ages are welcome to stop by any time between 5:30pm and 7:00pm. RSVP is recommended, however not required, to attend.
