Lyle’s abstract paintings have been created and developed over a summer of painting in her garden. The hummingbirds, flowers, and cool breezes are all part of her inspiration. Her love for animals is also included in her art works.  She expresses her emotions, using color, when she is painting. She layers large swirls of paint in vibrant hues, texture and movement covering her canvas. Color is the sensual element in her paintings. In this exhibition, her goal is to create a compelling work of art that will awaken a desire, a fantasy, or a hunger for color.

Garner’s chosen medium is polymer clay, a colorful and durable non-ceramic modeling compound. Her sculptures are intimate and domestic, even though she visualizes them as monumental and public when she’s in the studio. Her statues are meant to be seen in a personal environment, to be touched and hand held. She wants her art to generate an uplifting experience of recognition and emotional connection with the extraordinary beauty and mystery in our daily lives.

Jane Ellen Bryant releases new single ‘All in My Head’ Feb. 17 at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul

C-Boy’s Heart & Soul, Austin TX
02/17/2017 | 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Austin-based songstress Jane Ellen Bryant announces the release of her brand new single, “All in My Head” on Friday, Feb. 17. Jane will debut the single with a release party at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul, located at 2008 S Congress Ave., Austin, Texas 78704. Dr. Joe will kick-off the evening followed by Bryant and her band. Set time and ticket information will soon be announced. Please see www.janeellenbryant.com for more information.

The inspiration behind the new single came to Bryant after she had a revelation about a current relationship. “I wrote ‘All in My Head’ a few years ago after a new relationship I was in suddenly turned sour,” said Bryant. “I felt like I must be losing my mind to be so unaware of the situation and so isolated in my feelings.”

“A year or so later, my producer, Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith, heard me running through it and immediately asked if we could make a demo of it,” she said. “We sat with that demo and tested the song out live with my band for a while before we went back into the studio and made it all come to life. We wanted it to feel fresh and familiar to what is out there now, while staying true to my sound with real instruments and a little bit of heartbreaking rock ‘n’ roll.”

“‘All in My Head’ represents something special to me as Jane’s producer,” said Frenchie Smith. “She is great at sharing new musical ideas she wants to explore, not only as the performer, songwriter and co-producer, but as an artist who wants to take chances. I respect and am moved by Jane’s desire to define who she is and who she will be in each recording.”

“‘All in My Head’ captures a new sonic adventure for Jane,” said Smith. “Blending songwriting with a neon colored resolve, she announces her new single to a multi format of current and new fans. And as always, she brings her all to this track.”
