Manos de Cristo Annual Tamale Sale

Manos de Cristo, local nonprofit benefiting low-income individuals in the Austin area, is now accepting orders for their annual tamale fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit the organization’s dental, basic needs, and education programs that serve over 23,846 adults, children and seniors in the community.
The tamales offered by Manos de Cristo are gluten-free and come in pork, jalapeño pork, chicken, non-vegetarian bean and vegetarian varieties at $13 per dozen. Manos de Cristo welcomes large group orders, as they are perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings and everyday meals. To place an order online, visit www.manosdecristo.org/tamales. Tamales pick-up set for Friday, December 4 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.in the Manos de Cristo Education wing located at 4911 Harmon Avenue, Austin, TX 78751.
Beer, Wine & Swine: The Un-Gala

Manos de Cristo presents Beer, Wine & Swine: The Un-Gala, an evening of food, drinks, fun, and philanthropy benefiting the agency’s low-cost dental, education, and food and clothing relief programs. The event features live music, samplings from local craft breweries, wine, and Texas BBQ. Manos de Cristo programs serve 23,846 adults, children and seniors from the Central Texas community.
Beer, Wine & Swine: The Un-Gala will be held at historic Mercury Hall, 615 Cardinal Lane, Austin, TX 78704. Event sponsors include Jeff Rutkowski, Duggan Endodontics, Chasco Constructors, Green Bank, The Snell Law Firm, PLLC and Austin Image Plus Dental Design. Attire for the event is Austin casual. throwing an epic Beatles-inspired Halloween Costume Party—and you’re invited!
On Thursday, October 29, come together dressed* looking your best for a night of dancing to tunes by Deejay Honeycomb, cocktails, tasty bites, and an Abbey Road photo booth with Annie Ray.
*ProTip: Dress up as your favorite Beatle or an original costume inspired by an iconic lyric, event, or moment for a chance to win an Epiphone Casino Guitar (the one John Lennon made famous), SXSW Music Badges, access to the KGSR Music Lounge or Beatles swag. Andy Langer (KGSR), Katie Friel (Tribeza) and Kathy Blackwell (Austin Way) will be judging Beatles-inspired costumes, so do your best to impress ’em.
Every partygoer will also have the chance to tour the current exhibit titled “Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!” curated by the GRAMMY Museum and Fab Four Exhibits.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door if available.
