Manos de Cristo Annual Tamale Sale

Manos de Cristo, local nonprofit benefiting low-income individuals in the Austin area, is now accepting orders for their annual tamale fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit the organization’s dental, basic needs, and education programs that serve over 23,846 adults, children and seniors in the community.
The tamales offered by Manos de Cristo are gluten-free and come in pork, jalapeño pork, chicken, non-vegetarian bean and vegetarian varieties at $13 per dozen. Manos de Cristo welcomes large group orders, as they are perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings and everyday meals. To place an order online, visit www.manosdecristo.org/tamales. Tamales pick-up set for Friday, December 4 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.in the Manos de Cristo Education wing located at 4911 Harmon Avenue, Austin, TX 78751.
LEEF Mudstacle & Family Fun Run

The Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) is holding its annual MUDSTACLE and Family Fun Run on October 17th, 2015. The combined mud run and obstacle course offers waves with varying lengths and difficulty levels. Whether looking for a muddy challenge or a fun way to exercise with the family, the MUDSTACLE has something for everyone. All proceeds will support and expand LEEF programs such as innovative classroom grants, textbook scholarships, AP exam scholarships, free children’s books, and many other college and career readiness initiatives. Come early and stay late to enjoy the food booths, interactive kid zone and giveaways from local businesses. Ladies and gentlemen! Adults of all ages! The Wright House Wellness Center is proud to present Midnight Under the Big Top!
Midnight Under the Big Top promises to be the “Greatest Show in Austin” with entertainment from THAT Damned Band, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. Live and silent auctions will feature stunning art, adventurous vacation packages, striking jewelry, and much more! Proceeds raised by the event go directly towards supporting programs and services provided by The Wright House Wellness Center for Central Texans affected by HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis C.
About The Wright House Wellness Center: Since 1988, The Wright House Wellness Center has helped care for the mind, body, and spirit of over 4,500 people affected by HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis C. WHWC’s mission is to improve the lives of Central Texans living with, at risk for, and affected by HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis C through outreach, education, health and holistic services, and care coordination. The Wright House Wellness Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C Disease Management and Disease Prevention programs to people living in the Austin Transitional Grant Area (TGA) – Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. Services are provided at either no- or low-cost and eligibility is determined by service. No one is refused services due to inability to pay.
