The annual choreographed Christmas Light Show has been around for several years now. Each year something is added to the show and the lights are configured differently and more extravagantly. The show has become an Austin tradition that some are saying rival the Trail of Lights at Zilker Park!

In a tour-de-force performance, award-winning actor Martin Burke is back by popular demand, playing all 37 characters from the beloved holiday film It’s a Wonderful Life.

The Blue Genie Art Bazaar (BGAB) features thousands of handmade artwork, jewelry and gifts from more than 135 Austin area artists. In addition to shopping, there will be a number of special art and music events throughout the nearly four-week show. BGAB is a free, family-friendly event, organized as an open shopping experience where shoppers can browse in a hassle-free environment with centralized checkout. Light foods, beverages and full bar also available.

The Austin Symphony is excited to announce a brand new program this holiday season that will bring free music to all Austinites. Christmas in the Community is a series of twelve concerts held throughout the city of Austin featuring different ensembles of the orchestra playing familiar holiday music.

ALL ABOARD for this saucy and splendid production of ANYTHING GOES, winner of three 2011 Tony® Awards including Best Musical Revival and Choreography! Peppering this Cole Porter first-class comedy are some of musical theater’s most memorable standards, including “I Get a Kick out of You,” “You’re the Top,” and of course, “Anything Goes.” Don’t miss what the AP exclaims as, “So DELIGHTFUL, So DELICIOUS, So DE-LOVELY!”

Emceed by Cherrywood neighborhood resident and KUTX 98.9 host, Rick McNulty, the rain or shine event will also feature great live entertainment from some of the city’s most buzz-worthy bands as well as food from popular local food trucks and all day family-friendly activities. The free and open to the public event benefits Maplewood Elementary and Chula League’s Little Artist BIG ARTIST program which provides an opportunity for East Austin elementary school students to celebrate creativity, develop personal expression, and strengthen social skills through professional artist mentorship.

Tapestry’s unique and highly popular take on the holiday classic. With the live music of our incredible jazz ensemble led by Masumi Jones (Austin’s “best drummer” 2014) , this one-of-a-kind evening includes all aspects of Tapestry Dance Company and Academy including the professional company, Visions In Rhythm (pre-professional company), Tapestry Too! (TDC’s Amateur Adult Company) and members of the children’s academy.

Come Join us this Saturday to celebrate the launch of ZINK in Julian Gold! Mood music will be provided by the one and only DJ Hexum, and festive Christmas cookies and Austin cocktails will be served.

Guests will enjoy champagne and festive food provided by Rosemary’s Catering, and step back in time into our 19th century Austin home decorated for the holidays. The centerpiece of the museum’s holiday display is the Adams Collection of late 19th and early 20th century decorative objects. Highlights include hand-painted puppets, numerous Santa and animal figurines of lead, and a unique assortment of 20th century Putz houses and bottlebrush trees.

This “Believe” concert is for anyone who ever believed in the magic of winter, the snowflakes that stay on our nose and eyelashes, the sleigh bells in the wood and angelic voices…ok, THAT part will be real as before you will stand approximately 75 angels, singing just for you!
