Fall For Dance

Anderson, Yacov Sharir, and Andrea Beckham, The University of Texas at Austin’s award-winning dance company Dance Repertory Theatre is going “downtown” this season, presenting contemporary works inspired by New York City’s “downtown dance” scene. Fall For Dance includes works by nationally acclaimed choreographers including Christian Von Howard, Charles O. Anderson, Ellen Bartel and Andrea Beckham.

GENaustin’s We Are Girls Conference is a statewide annual event that helps girls explore the issues of bullying, body image and being a girl. Skill-building workshops and dynamic presentations are offered on topics including creating healthy relationships, building financial and media literacy, enhancing parent-daughter communication, and increasing positive body image, health, and wellness. Designed especially for girls in grades 3-12 and the adults who care about them, the We Are Girls Conference connects individuals with questions to experts who have the answers.

33rd Annual Black Tie Dinner

The 33rd annual Black Tie Dinner will be held on November 15th, 2014 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. This year’s theme is “FORWARD,” which focuses on the diversity of Black Tie Dinner’s beneficiaries, who provide programs and services in the areas of community, marriage equality, arts, family, health, faith and civil equality. To date, Black Tie Dinner has distributed over $18 million to its beneficiaries.
