Austin’s LGBT community comes together with live music performances, film screenings, a 5K run, parades and more.

Kick off Austin Pride Week on Saturday, September 13 from 7-10pm, as The Rawk Show presents the second installment of ‘Flannel & Glitter,’ an exhibit featuring artwork from LGBT artists and allies, gay-themed artwork, and pieces from gay icons! Contestants from various seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race will also be submitting self-portraits for this show.

Please join us as restaurants all over Austin unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS. As thousands of patrons fill their plates in support, these restaurants will be graciously donating a substantial portion of each diner’s check to AIDS Services of Austin.

Cafe Josie will be donating 10% of happy hour sales to AIDS Walk Austin all week and 20% on Saturday, September 20.

The 2nd Annual Balvenie Rare Craft Collection, a gallery-style exhibition featuring original works from some of America’s finest craftspeople, is coming to Austin on September 16th and 17th as part of a nine-city tour. Curated by three-time Indianapolis 500 winner and native Scotsman Dario Franchitti (who will be making an appearance on the 16th between 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.), each of the 20 pieces in The Balvenie Rare Craft Collection stands as a passionate expression of craftsmanship in all its forms. From a hand-woven, hand-dyed merino wool hat and ornate bagpipe to a shuffleboard table constructed from ex-Bourbon barrels and a Baxendale Harwood guitar, this groundbreaking collection represents rare crafts from EVERY corner of America including Texas, proudly represented by western wear maker M. L. Leddy’s that has been fitting presidents, royalty and rock stars for leather boots and saddles for the past four generations.

PRIDE INTERFAITH CELEBRATION will be held at University Baptist Church at 7pm on Tuesday September 16th, as part of Austin’s Gay Pride Week. The keynote speaker this year will be Randy Roberts Potts, the gay grandson of evangelist Oral Roberts.
