aGLIFF – The Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival was founded in 1987 and became a 501(c)3 in 1995 under the umbrella of the new non-profit aGLIFF. This year we celebrate 27 years of programming for the Austin community.

A play about the ecstasy and excesses of performing, the dangers of public intimacy and the incompatibility of truth on stage and sanity in real life, Rude Mechs’ widely acclaimed work returns to Austin.

Texas Performing Arts opens the 2014-2015 Season with the world premiere engagement of BASETRACK, a multimedia experience that delves into the human cost of war.

Stargayzer Festival is a 3-day celebration of LGBTQ music and performance taking place in Austin September 12th-14th, 2014. For 3 days and 3 nights, this unique space will be transformed into a vibrant, all inclusive festival community focused on showcasing LGBTQ performers.

Austin’s LGBT community comes together with live music performances, film screenings, a 5K run, parades and more.

Our friends at Lincoln and the Austin Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity are teaming up to raise big money for our kids. “Driven to Give” is the grassroots philanthropic endeavor from Lincoln that was designed to connect with local communities’ charities and organizations. That means Lincoln will donate $30 for every person who tests a car on Saturday, September 13 — up to $6,000! There’s no fee, no sales pitch – just come enjoy the ride and Lincoln will make a donation for our kids!

The Method Gun explores the life and techniques of Stella Burden, actor-training guru of the 1960s and 70s, whose sudden emigration to South America still haunts her most fervent followers. Burden’s training technique, The Approach (often referred to as “the most dangerous acting technique in the world”), fused Western acting methods with risk-based rituals in order to infuse even the smallest role with sex, death and violence.

Kick off Austin Pride Week on Saturday, September 13 from 7-10pm, as The Rawk Show presents the second installment of ‘Flannel & Glitter,’ an exhibit featuring artwork from LGBT artists and allies, gay-themed artwork, and pieces from gay icons! Contestants from various seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race will also be submitting self-portraits for this show.

Join INK as we welcome back the Fall with a screening of Austin classic “Dazed and Confused.” While you watch and mingle, enjoy finger-licking fried chicken with all the fixin’s courtesy of Top Notch Hamburgers, and some ice-cold adult beverages. Every single penny raised at this — and every INK event — will go directly to the Paul Kirby Emergency Assistance Fund, which serves as a cash fund of last resort for clients of AIDS Services of Austin.
