Community: OUTsider Festival Campaign

2317

There’s just a couple of days left to make the OUTsider Festival possible. OUTsider is a multi-arts LGBTQIA festival based in Austin. This unique festival will showcase film, theater, dance, music, writing, performance, and visual art, bringing queer audiences and artists together with one common goal – “to activate the full power and brilliance of LGBTQIA creation and community.”

February 18-21, 2015 will mark the festival’s first go-round. But, of course, like any new festival, it takes support and backing from the community to make it happen. In September, OUTsider Festival launched its Indiegogo campaign to help produce the festival. Backed by a powerful team, including award-winning filmmaker and UT professor PJ Raval, performance artist Paul Soileau, aGLIFF founder Scott Dinger and many more, OUTsider wishes to raise $35,000 for venues, operating costs, and performers. To read more about the OUTside Festival campaign or to contribute, visit the festival’s Indiegogo campaign page. Contributors can earn cool perks from a place on the Founder’s Banner to Silver, Gold, or Platinum membership badges. The campaign will close on October 29, 2014 (11:59pm PT).

Supporters are also welcome to come out to Cheer Up Charlies Tuesday night for the final night of OUTsider’s “Indiegogo Telethon,” hosted by Reverie and Randee.
