Amplify Your Austin!

2277

If there’s never been a perfect day for giving, Amplify Austin Day certainly fills the void. Every year since its 2013 debut, the 24-hour giving day has presented the opportunity for fellow Austinites to support local nonprofits. What’s even better is, you don’t have to go far at all to donate – it’s all done on online.

logoOrganized by I Live Here, I Give Here, a nonprofit dedicated to deepening and expanding the culture of personal philanthropy in the Austin community, Amplify Austin has raised a total of $8.5 million in the past two years on Amplify Austin Day. This year they’re aiming for their highest goal yet, $7 million. The generous gifts from Austin’s passionate community helps bridge a gap many homegrown nonprofits face financially. In order to continue flourishing, meeting the basic needs of our community and providing the services many of us rely on, local nonprofits need the well-deserved support of our community.

With more than 400 nonprofits registered, Amplify Austin makes it quite simple to seek out the nonprofits that speak to you, all of which play a key role in making Austin and all of Central Texas a better place to live and grow. Some of the nonprofits especially helpful to the LGBT community participating this year includes, allgo, AIDS Services of Austin, Austin Pride, Equality Texas, Out Youth and more. The giving period, which kicked off yesterday evening, ends at 6pm today. You can learn more and get involved to give back to the nonprofits that give so much to our community here.
