Sam Armstrong
Sam Armstrong, a marketing and design veteran with employers including Central Market and the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, is passionate about the anthropological nature of food. “How something tastes is important,” he said, “but never subjective. Who's sharing it? Where are you? Who made it? What kind of mood are you in? All these things color the experience and memory of each meal as much as what your eyes, nose, and mouth tell you.” In this issue, Armstrong scoured the streets and hit the farmers market to find the best picnic-packing options in Austin.
