Cristin “Moxy” Castro

Alisa WeldonCristin “Moxy” Castro believes in wonder; especially for wine and artisan spirits. She holds a master's in Fine Food and Beverage from Italy's leading Business School, SDA Bocconi—an MBA program made in conjunction with Slowfood University and the Altagamma. For her it’s pure passion: for testing homebrew from mislabeled vats or plunging into a fermentation tank to empty its wine pommace with a snow shovel. She is now the regional director for Esprit Du Vin French Wine Merchants, an boutique import portfolio. Castro sometimes trades insider secrets for old vintages of Barolo and/or dates with women who own more high heels than her (a high bar to match).
