    THE 2014 BLACK TIE DINNER

    The 33rd annual Black Tie Dinner will be held on November 15th, 2014 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. This year’s theme is “FORWARD,” which focuses on the diversity of Black Tie Dinner’s beneficiaries, who provide programs and services in the areas of community, marriage equality, arts, family, health, faith and civil equality. To date, Black Tie Dinner has distributed over $18 million to its beneficiaries.

    2014 EMCEE/AUCTIONEER – DANA GOLDBERG, lesbian comic and LGBT fundraiser – Goldberg was voted one of the “Top Five Funniest Lesbians in America” by CURVE Magazine, and in addition to appearing at comedy clubs and on television specials, has raised significant funds for the Human Rights Campaign, the fight against HIV/AIDS, and countless other LGBT organizations. Get ready for an evening of laughs as Dana entertains with her humorous take on LGBT life.

    2014 MUSICAL PERFORMANCE – STEVE GRAND, openly gay country music singer-songwriter – Black Tie Dinner is thrilled to present rising country music star Steve Grand, best known for his song “All American Boy,” whose video has received over three million YouTube views, and a Kickstarter campaign that has partially funded his first album, set for release this spring.

    PROGRAM FORMAT

    Each year, up to 3,000 guests experience this “premier event of empowerment, education and entertainment” supporting GLBT organizations in the North Texas community and Black Tie Dinner’s National Beneficiary, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

    The Saturday evening Dinner Program includes local and national figures, entertainment, recognition rewards, auctions and more. Pre Dinner receptions and the AfterBlack dance party add to the evening’s festivities.

    Friday, the evening before the Dinner, Sponsors, Table Captains and their guests are invited to B4Black, an exciting auction preview party with a program all its own.

    Past Dinner Award Recipients and Speakers include: Maya Angelou, Ann Richards, Martin Sheen, Lily Tomlin, Sharon Stone, Goldie Hawn, Geena Davis, Bishop V. Gene Robinson, Judy Shepard, Cyndi Lauper and Gavin Newsom.
