Link & Pin presents "Doxology" Works by British Artist Rob Pepper

Link & Pin Gallery, Austin Texas
04/15/2017 | 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Link & Pin presents Doxology, a series of large-scale conscious reflex drawings by British artist Rob Pepper.

Website: http://robpepper.co.uk/

Show runs Friday March 24 through Sunday April 16, 2017

Opening reception: Friday March 24th 5:30-8:30pm

Curator Q&A: Sunday April 9th 2:30-4:30pm

Each piece in this series is a redrawing of cathedral windows Pepper found in his native England. The windows’ depiction of the Christ narrative is reimagined through the technique of conscious reflex drawing, in which the artist makes no eye contact with the paper as he draws. Pepper then used gold leaf to emphasize details of significance or reference to traditional icons.
